SPA Delhi Announces Admissions for 2025–26: Ph.D., Master’s, and Bachelor’s Programmes Open

New Delhi: The School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi—an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India—has released its admission notice for the academic session 2025–26. Applications are invited for Ph.D., Master’s, and Bachelor’s programmes across various disciplines of planning and architecture.

Ph.D. Admissions Open in Nine Departments

SPA is offering full-time and part-time Ph.D. programmes with a total of 65 seats across nine departments, including Architecture (31 seats), Physical Planning (1),Building engineering & Management (4), Landscape Architecture (2), Regional Planning (1), Transport Planning (7), Environmental Planning (1), and Urban Planning (15). Application forms are available on the SPA website www.spa.ac.in, and the last date for submission of completed forms is 30th May 2025. The application fee is ₹2,500 for Indian nationals and $300 for foreign applicants.


Master’s Programmes via JAAP-PG 2025

Admission to SPA’s Master’s degree programmes will be through the Joint Admission for Architecture and Planning–Post Graduate (JAAP-PG 2025). Interested candidates can apply at https://jaappg.admissions.nic.in.


UG Admissions Through JEE (Main) 2025

Undergraduate admissions for B.Arch and B.Plan will be conducted through JEE (Main) 2025. The B.Arch programme offers a flexible exit option after the third year for a "bachelor's degree in Building Science". B.Plan students may opt for a five-year integrated degree with specialization after the seventh semester. Reservation policies will adhere to Government of India norms.


NRI/FN/PIO Category Admissions (Bachelor's Programmes)

Foreign nationals, NRIs, and PIOs must apply through the DASA portal https://dasanit.org/dasa2025. Notably, students admitted under the B.Arch programme without clearing the COA test are not eligible for COA registration.]
