New Delhi: A day after a fire broke out in a multi-storey building in Rajouri Garden, West Delhi, police registered a negligence case against the owner of a restaurant on the first floor. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire originated from the Jungle Jamboree restaurant, according to police reports.

Authorities suspect the fire was caused by a short circuit. A detailed inspection of the restaurant will be conducted to determine the exact cause. The establishment was closed at the time of the incident, and no burn injuries were reported.

However, a faculty member from an animation institute located on the second floor sustained minor injuries during the incident. Police have stated that the restaurant owner will be summoned for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.

This incident has raised concerns about fire safety compliance in commercial establishments, highlighting the need for strict adherence to regulations to prevent such occurrences in the future.
